At Aknara Waterfront, we believe true hospitality extends beyond our guests—it reaches into the community around us.

As part of our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Sri Lanka, Aknara Waterfront welcomed residents of the Ma-Piya Sewana Foundation, including elderly individuals and people requiring additional care and support, for a specially arranged day-out experience at our hotel in Panadura. Instead of limiting our contribution to a traditional donation, our intention was to offer something more personal and memorable: a change of environment, genuine hospitality and a day dedicated entirely to their happiness. Our special guests were welcomed into the Aknara experience, where they could relax, enjoy delicious food, entertainment, companionship and the warmth of our team.

Through this initiative, Aknara Waterfront sought to promote inclusive hospitality, community wellbeing, social inclusion and responsible tourism in Sri Lanka, while creating an opportunity for our guests to step away from their everyday routine and simply enjoy being celebrated. For us, CSR is not only about what we give, it is about how we make people feel.
